Since opening as the first hospital in
the area, Inland Valley Regional Medical Center has been the
leader in providing excellent health care in the valley. Inland
Valley is an 80 bed, acute care hospital and trauma center located
in Wildomar, off the Clinton Keith Road exit, east of Interstate
15.
The hospital, opened in 1987, is accredited
by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare
Organizations. In 1994, an independent survey of over 4,000
hospitals ranked Inland Valley among the countrys top 100
hospitals.
The
more than 700 healthcare professionals at Inland Valley are
committed to ensuring the quality of your health. Inland Valley
also strives to provide its staff with the most sophisticated
medical technology available, from the emergency room to the
maternity department.
In addition to playing a vital role in
helping keep people in our valley healthy, Inland Valley is a
major contributor to the economic health of the valley. As one of
the largest employers in the region, Inland Valley supports the
local economy. For five years in a row, Inland Valley has received
the "Business of the Year Award" in turn from each of
the five valley chambers of commerce. Inland Valley is not only
the sole hospital to be honored
with a Business of the Year Award, it is also the only business to
ever receive the award for five consecutive years.
Every year Inland Valley directly donates
more of its resources to the community than any other hospital in
the region. Annually Inland Valley spends millions providing free
care to the medically indigent, the underinsured or those with no
ability to pay for their medical treatment. Each year Inland
Valley provides medical screenings of all types for thousands of
children and adults free of charge. In the past five years the
hospital has provided over 10,000 flu vaccines and over 1,000
other vaccines for common childhood diseases all free of
charge.
Inland Valley continuously prepares for
the future by expanding its outpatient services, namely surgery
and radiology. The
hospital is creating a new pavilion for outpatient services that
already houses a state-of-the-art computed tomography (CT)
scanner. The Surgery Department is building three additional
surgical suites that will virtually double the size of the
department. In addition to expanding the hospital, Inland Valley
is also developing a new medical complex in Temecula. The new
complex will include a outpatient services and medical offices for
on-site physicians.
As the health care environment continues to
evolve, so do the challenges that hospitals face in striving to
meet the ever changing needs of the communities they serve. Inland
Valley is committed to always being the leader in providing the
highest quality care and service.
Inland Valley Regional Medical Center
